Its a Wonderful Life

So as of August 2011... Myself and a majority of my family chose a new path and started going to a different church. We just felt that there was something bigger for ourselves out there. Its Shalom Lutheran Church in Pinckney and we absolutly love it! I have never felt such a close relationship with God since i have started going there. Although i am not able to make it every sunday, when i am there, it is such a great feeling!
I am a Christian. I know that Jesus died for my sins, and that i have an awesome God! I pray nearly every single day, and i talk to God on a daily basis. He is my Strength... and without prayer i feel weak.
I even feel closer to my family! Which is amazing... We have so much more communication with religion now, it is such a beautiful thing!
I knew that Shalom was the right church for myself when i walked in those doors! I didnt feel strange or weird... automatically i was welcomed, and i was able to sit back and enjoy the service that our Pastor was giving that day.
I know that i am not perfect, and i cant please everyone. But i hope that everyone knows that i do try my best to be the best person i want to be and i know He wants me to be.
I guess i am posting this because i still feel like our decision hasnt been accepted by all people. And in case your wondering, we are doing beatifully! I hope that whoever you are, reading this, you understand me, and accept me. Because i accept you, and whatever you choose... no matter what lifestyle, i have no judgement, i accept you.
Now im signing off for the rest of the Holiday Season... Enjoy this time, and remember why we celebrate Christmas.

Happy Holidays!

I cant beleive that thanksgiving has come and gone already!! And here we are in the Christmas mood already! It sprung on me so fast! Dont get me wrong, i am excited, haha... but normally i have a lot more Christmas shopping done, ive only checked off 1 1/2 people... time to go shopping!! :) Heres a picture of us kids on thanksgiving... it turned out really nice this year, everyones smiling, and it only took three trys! :)

I have loved this movie since i was a little girl... and although i didn't completely understand it then, i loved watching it because of the dress attire! Movies set back in time are my favorite! And now that im older, and i know whats going on in it, i love it that much more! Such a beautiful movie about, heartbreak, excitement and true love!

What you woke up to~

Isnt she so sweet!? I love when my mom brings her up to my room.. and she will sleep with me until i wake up! :) Shes so cute!

A Secret~

I've always secretly wanted a Tattoo.... But i know i will never get one! I would be too chicken! But.. i have always thought it would be sweet to have on on my wrist just with the same concept as above.

Day 6:

Something Fun~

So the gang all got together and we Carved pumpkins! This is my guy.. a cute little owl sitting on a branch. Normally i am terrribblee at carving pumpkins. I am usually so impatient, and end up screwing something up. I did mess up his eyes, so they ended up being circles.. but all in all im pretty proud of it. We also made(well jess did) these awesome apple crisps where you make a crisp and core out an apple and cook it in the apple! So good! And while we were doing all this we watched the classic, Hocus Pocus... perfect evening! :)

I am absolutly in love with Gilmore Girls.. i have every season on DVD.. and watch at least an episode before bed. Its such a great show!

Something you Made~

 I made this afghan for my Aunt about a year ago... i absolutly love the colors of it! And it is so soft! I cant wait for the blanket im working on now to be done! Its always a good feeling when you accomplish a project this big.

Back in the Swing of Things

So once again fall is nearly upon us! And as usual, i get back in the mood to start knitting again! :) I started this scarf last night, and after im finished with this, im devoting all of my time to knitting my afghan that i started last year! So we shall see!! :)

Selah

Shes adjusting pretty well! she is definatly a daddys girl though! Always down in his office, and following him around! Shes a sweetheart though, thats for sure! And sokee and her are adjusting well to each other! Since she is overweight shes been getting two walks a day.. which is good motivation for me to take her out too! At first she had troubles sleeping at night.. but who wouldnt after they go to a strange new place? Anywho have a great day... im off to work!

Welcome to the Family!

So after saying we were going to get a new dog for YEARS... we finally did! We met her today, and her name is Selah. She is 8 years old and is super sweet! Although she is deaf, she can still distinguish what you want her to do. We officially get to bring her home on Satruday morning... Cannot wait!! :)

Vacation #1

We had such a great time in Petoskey! We always go camping every year with all the kids in our family,and cousins on our dads side... this year there was 12 of us, mostly everyone could make it! :) The weather was awesome for the most part, up until saturday evening/ through most of sunday morning.. we had rain! It was so nice having a vacation, and it makes my next one want to come asap... only one week 2 days until im bound for th U.P. with Jenny! :) Heres Some pics from the trip!

 We went to Charlevoix on our way home, It was a beautiful town, just like Petoskey!

 I slipped on these stairs, and got a pretty massive bruise on my arm! No fun!

 We went and played putt putt one day, a lot of fun, but of course it got competitive!

 A super fancy ice cream parlor that we went to... They actually have one in Ann Arbor... Ill have to take the girls there sometime! :)

 We played many many games of Volleyball... And again it got competitive again... but we had a lot of fun!

 So i ended up walking down to the beach to get a picture

Some of the Petoskey stones that were found on the trip... they werent too hard to find.. we all ended up with some!

Balloon Fest

Another year of the annual Balloon Fest has come and gone! Crazy how time flies by! It was a perfect evening to go. Jenny Uncle Paul and Myself spent it, walking through the art show, and then people watching. Let me tell you, if you want a huge confidence booster, just look around you at the balloon fest! ;)
