So we went out of town this past weekend... And it was Amazing!! I miss vacation already.... Good weekend, with great friends... and new ones! We went to see Kelli and Dan by the way! A great weekend away from it all! It was nice to come home though, i must say! I missed my bed. My comfortable Queen sized bed is much better then the Futon i was sharing with Jenny.... no offense girl! haha. We had a great time though! Hopefully i will get some pictures up on here soon... just a couple of group pictures were taken. Hope everyone is having a good week.

New Year, New Project

Above: The bottom of the blanket. it will end with the same cream stripe on the other side as well. But im still obsessed with the popcorn border!!! Its so fun! :)
Right now the blanket is about 2 1/2 feet thick... and is 7 1/2 feet long. only 2 1/2 more feet to go and im done!!!!

I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday!! We all did here. Not too much going on, just the usual, work work work! Thats good though! Not complaining(too much).
Anyways, with the new year ringing in, i have started a new project.... along with oodles of dishcloths.... i have started on my own afghan. I love the colors... something totally fun! Im kinda knitting it backwards though... the approximate lengths i have so far is... about 7 1/2 ft long and 4-5 ft wide. Big enough for my huge bed! Heres my progress.... im about halfway done with it.

So after i gave Aunt Carol her afghan... and we were curious how much time i spent working on it..... here's the results....

It took me a little less then 2 months(i slacked a bit)
I probably spent around 35 hours on it
I used 8 skeins
Its 135 stitches across
Approximately 320 rows
And about 43,200 individual knits

The Border.... "Popcorn" Style

My Aunt Designed it.... She has the two thick stripes, so when she folds it over the couch, you would get a result like so.... the reverse side is the same, however it has two thin cream stripes, with the thicker Gray stripe in the middle

The Final Result! I am so thrilled with how it turned out! Its slightly bigger then the first one i made... they are both the perfect size to keep cozy with on the couch.

I hate when i have nothing to do! Work was so slow today... and i got out so early since i closed Starbucks. I work a four hour shift tomorrow... and not sure what to do with my day!! Its such a calm and peaceful day! :) Fall is definitely in the air around here! Mom has the spiced cider candles lit! I'm thinking that it might be time for a trip to the orchard soon! And for a fall bonfire, Erik's been bugging me lately to have a fall fire, with cider and donuts... mm mm. One of my favorite parts of fall is the cider and donuts! I had my first cup of cider the other day at work, it was worth it!
If you have not yet seen the new film The Conspirator... you need to! I just watched it with mom and it was really good! Its a true story based on the trial and conspiracy's after President Lincolns assassination. Those kind of movies are always my favorite... and I'm glad mom shares the same passion for them as me! Its always fun learning new thing from this country's past.

I cant remember the last time i was this sick.... Not feeling good at all!!
It all started on saturday... and has just gotten worse! Its just the worst cold imaginable! Every day there is something else wrong with me!
Yesterday i had to call of work... i was running a slight fever on and off all day, and was coughing myself a headache, and nearly throwing up. And today i had to call off again, because my throat is killing me and a really deep red, and i have the same cough. Im scared im going to lose my voice as well, it keeps getting lower and lower. Ugh, i need to feel better by friday! i cannot afford to lose anymore work!
And i know that rest is supposed to help... but i cant sleep! When i do go to sleep, i dont fall asleep until late, im up every hour, and i wake up early!
Please go away by friday... please go away!!!

I have been so busy with work lately that i forget about my blog! Works going really good though. i love my job a target. I love the people who i work with most of all! Everyone is so nice there! I mostly work the Starbucks, which i love!!! I have always had a secret passion for being a Barista, and its wonderful! As if i dont love tea and coffee already, i get to have it all the time now... although it doesnt come cheap, and let me tell you, if you go to starbucks, dont ask for a calorie count... because even if you get the "skinny" version... its not... sorry hun, but its not! Its fun though, i even have regulars that come in and i get to chat with them too! In case you didnt know, im a chatter, whether i know ya or not!
I had a sweet old man in my work the other day and he got a straight up black coffee... and we just chatted for 20 minutes while he was waiting for his daughter to finish up her shopping. He was so sweet! :) it always makes my day when i get to chat with people like him!
Ive been a training queen there lately though... because i was hired in on cashier and starbucks, and now im trained at guest service, and im training on the sales floor this week. So if your ever in Target theres a good chance you'll see me! :)
Well there really isnt anything else going on in my simple life... but if there is ill let you know :)

Not! i cannot wait any longer for fall!!!!! its my favorite season of the year, (besides christmas of course)... I love the food, the smells, the color, the temp.
Ooh i cant wait any longer!!! One month 21 days until the first day of fall, but whos counting? My really good friend sam and i have made our first official plans... were going to the Rennaisance festival this year! We went together for school about 6 years ago.. and have both been dying to go again! So this is the year!! Its so fun! :) i cant wait

I have been soo busy latley! i just got home from work not too long ago. It was my first time opening the starbucks by myself, and it went very well! I open again tomorrow, and then i close saturday and sunday.... My life is consumed by work right now, and gives me time for no life.
Its raining right now, so i dont feel so guilty about being lazy for the rest of the day! :)

Sweet Summertime

Today i had the best day.
Nothing major happened, but it was so relaxing. Ive been training at target for the past week, and its all pretty easy. I work the starbucks there mainly, and once or twice a week im on register. Today i learned how to make so many new drinks, it was so fun!
Although im enjoying work very much! i do like the fact that i have the next four days in a row off!
It should be a good weekend! Tomorrow we are doing work in the garden... Im so pumped, we have corn, pumpkins, beets, cucumbers, tomatos, green beans, and onions so far! Its going to be so spectacular! :) i am super pumped! haha.
Ill take pictures of the process soon, and keep posting on the growth of the plants!

A Royal Brunch

Did you all watch the wedding? It was so beautiful!! We had Ladies over from my dads side, and we had the best brunch. Everyone arrived around 11am(we recorded the wedding), And we ate an amazing brunch. Mom made her amazing Asparagus Quiche, Aunt Carol made probably the best crepes i have ever eaten, and Grandma made a Brocolli Salad... And i made a white cake with my Grandma P's fluffy white frosting.. we had to have a wedding cake of course! We watched all of the wedding, about 4 hours long! It was such an experience to watch History in the Making. And we were all entertained by adorable Mr Jacob! It was the best day...

The most important wedding however, is only one week away.... Such a bittersweet feeling. Im so excited for two of my amazing friends/family to be gettng married, But so sad to see them move... Im going to miss Jenna so much! Shes one of my most Kindered friends! We have such a fun wedding weekend planned however! I cannot wait! :)

I cant believe that two weeks from today.... Jenna and Dave will be getting married! Its so crazy how fast time flies by. Feels like just the other day jenna was calling me up and telling me they must got engaged! Now all the planning is done! I am so happy that this day is fast approaching.... but at the same time, so much is changing! Every year summer is way different, so it will be interesting to see what this summer will be like. Jenny and I are planning on being a couple of active bugs!! She just got a bike, and i would like to ride with her too, and roller blading as well! It will be one fun lonely summer! But Jenna and Dave will only be 3 hours away, so hopefully we will get to see them often. Although with the gas prices this summer!!!....ugh!

Mini Vacation

Well i finished school last week! And Saturday was my first day of my summer vacation! Sunday was such a beutiful day! and such a tease for summer! It was so hot outside it reached up to 79 in pinckney! It was awesome to pull out a pair of shorts to wear! But all good things came to an end, and i had to work tht afternoon. But i finally had a few days off. Today is my last day off before i have to go back to work again, but its probably a good thing! Ive been a bit lazy! Going to the gym in a bit, and then probably going to clean my room! Ugh! And it really needs to be done! Well thats all for now! Hope everyone has a wonderful rest of your day!

The Perfect Spring Day

Today i had the best day ever! :) I got an early start, and went out for the day with my Auntie Carol, and Uncle Paul. My Uncle Paul always goes to lunch with a friend of his in canton every week. So I tagged along this time, and we dropped him off at the usual, and we went and did our girl stuff! We went to Hobby Lobby. And holy cow! that was the first time i had ever been in there, and it was amazing! So much stuff!!! I wish we had one closer to us! I was in heaven when i walked down the Poster aisle and the Knitting aisle! After Aunt Carol got her water color paints, we went to Chilis for lunch. Now listen to this awesome deal, I got a half sandwich, a bowl of amazing baked potato soup, and a side of fries for 6 bucks!!!! Can you beleive it??? Only six bucks. It was so amazing. Then when we were finished we picked up uncle paul and went back to Pinckney, and I spent the afternoon visiting with my sweet aunt. It was so nice to spend the day with her. I love that Lady so much! and i always thouroughly enjoy her company! :) And now im spending the evening with some friends, and were watching the season finale of our favorite show! :)

There is nothing more beautiful in the morning, then the sound of morning birds singing. I leave my window cracked open at night so I wake up to them in the morning. Very cliche i know.... but I absolutely love them!
We had such a good weekend! Kelli came into town on Friday! She said she was coming to see jenny, which was true, but she was really coming so we could throw Jenna her wedding shower!! Well we got everything done on time, and a lot of people came. Jenna and Dave got a lot of nice new things! Couldn't be happier for them!
Today may be on the chillier side, but i am absolutely loving the weather only because it is, officially spring! :)
Now im just relaxing before i have to run a couple errands before class.

I think that spring weather is finally here!!! The first official day is on Sunday! Oh i cannot wait! i am so over this rotten winter weather. I didnt even get to enjoy the weather yesterday. I had to work morning to late afternoon, then i had class all night. So to make up for yesterday im going to take the pups for a walk today and enjoy the trails by our house.
Oh and Kellis coming into town tomorrow! I cant wait! Even though i do have to work, i will be able to see her afterwards. :) Its going to be the perfect weekend, with her here, and the warm weather!

Unanswered Prayers

So things are looking up in my neck of the woods. I was in a tough spot for a little bit. Lost my job and everything seemed to just pile on top. But Ive started my CNA program and just got a job today. Its at Taco Bell. As much as i was not wanting to work here, i don't mind at all. Its a job, and im thankful that i was able to find one as quick as i did. Everything is starting to fall into place, and i couldn't be happier.
If your ever in a tough spot, just keep your chin up. Have faith that everything will work out. God has a plan for us, and with patience and your faith in him, will help you through trials and tribulations. Life has so much to offer, and we are all so blessed for everything that we are given. I am so thankful that Ive had my friends by my side this past couple of months. Thank you girls so much! You make my life so much easier with your support. You know who you are.
And my Mom and Dad... I wouldn't be who i am without you. Thank you for your love and support through all my dumb mistakes, and troublesome times. I love you guys with all my heart and owe you the world.

Just a quick post today....
Last week was Jenny's surgery, and she is doing just fabulous! I am so grateful that i got to spend a few days at the Lassila house to help out! The surgery went smoothly and her recovery keeps getting better! I am so happy that she had this done for her! With no complications!
On a lighter note... its almost spring!!! :) About two and a half weeks to be exact! I cant wait for spring weather!!! Spring is my second favorite season!! The weather is just right! I cant wait to wake up and hear spring birds outside of my window.

The Mystery of the Mitten

So the past week was a complete tease for us here! One day it reached up to 65!!! All of the snow melted and all you needed on was a light jacket. Well then yesterday came by... and we were told up to 3 inches.... But as i look outside today im thinking we have a bit more then three!
Im going to Jennys tonight and im going with her, her mom, and her sister katie, to jennys surgery tomorrow! We have all been anxiously awaiting this surgery! Its going to be such a good change for jenny!
Other then that not much else here! Im hoping to get some stuff done around here... catch up on my book, and some knitting before i go to jennys. Have a lovely rest of your day and stay warm!

The Incredibles and SNOW

So right now it is snowing like crazy out!!! And the kids have a snow day tomorrow.... so its the perfect chance to watch The Incredibles with kurtie like i promised him!

Last weekend was the best weekend... On thursday we went to see kristine and her new little bundle Jacob!! :) He is such a little peanut!! And then last weekend we went over to Zion to see Kelli and Dan. It was a much over due girls weekend! Kelli and Dan just recently bought a house so it was so cool to go and check it out! I cant wait to go back again and see how far the house has come along!
On a lighter note... only about 3 1/2 weeks until i start my CNA Program.... Which means only 7 1/2 weeks until i have my certificate!!! :) i cant wait to get out of retail and into a medical enviornment!

Its been one week since ive started my new lifestyle change..... I am working out on a regular basis and eating better too! I worked out four days last week... and this morning i went to the gym again. Ive been going as a guest for the past few visits. But since i really like it so much, im going to figure out if its in my budget to actually join! Im trying to keep on a strict diet long enough for when its time for jens wedding! i need a new dress for it, and i want to buy a super cute one, that i will feel and look great in! Im not only doing it for the wedding, but myself. Its time to live on the healthy side... and being on this side makes me feel awesome! i have a journal that i write down everything im eating, and what workouts i did for the day. And im also taking my vitamins! Oh and you cant forget about water, i drink on average... about, 72-96 ozs a day.
Were going to see kelli this weekend! im so pumped for this girls weekend! In my journal however, this is my "blind weekend", because lets face it!, its a girls weekend and theres no way im going to be able to work out and eat healthy all weekend! haha... Thats all for now! have a lovely day!

How you been? Good to see you my only friend!.....
I know, its been a while! But im back now! lots has been going on lately! First off... i hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and are enjoying the beginning of your new year! Its 2011??? Holy Moly!!! thats nuts! I havent done anything too exciting this new year... Technically i should have been going to school right now, but i decided that im going to go into CNA right now... so i dont start school until February! And the program is only a 4 week program. Im super pumped for it... and also pumped to get out of Old Navy.... 4 years there is way too long..... im over it haha.

I had such a productive morning today.... First i worked at 6... and then i got off at 9.... After i got home grandma gave my mom a buzz and asked if i wanted to join her for a visit at the gym.... Which i was totally up for! because, although i have been working out lately.... My basement is not the same as the gym. It was super fun to work out on something other then a treadmill or my usual yoga. We worked out for a good 45 minutes.... i think im going to go back next week and get a free one week trial.... Eventually i am going to join when its more in the budget, probably next month. But for now The good ol' treadmill and the dumb bells will have to suffice.

I guess i can mention that i have started to knit my first blanket! I am so pumped on it! I got a whole bunch of knitting stuff for christmas, including enough yarn to make a blanket!!!! Its down to my knees from my waste right now.... still have a ways to go until i finish... but im so proud of it!

Its officially december! is that nuts or what? i cant beleive that christmas is in 25 days!! ahh!!! i need to finish my shopping soon! i only have 3 more people to buy for! so thats a relief!!! Today dad and i were home alone, so we decided to pull out all of the christmas decorations. we set up the village by the steps(the picture is a result of our mess) And the other one, is of sokee with the cute bow i put on her! We got sokee as a christmas gift four years ago! Mom and i are going to get the tree on saturday, so i will post our tree then! have a lovely day!!

So do you want to know what im doing right now? Im watching football! haha. Im kind of bummed because i was supposed to take Kurtie Trick or Treating... But his big sister will never be as cool as his school friend. Oh well.... what can you do? Now im sitting at home with my dad. Just the two of us. The good thing about This day, is tomorrow is November, which means we are in the Midst of Christmas season.(Happy Sigh) This is my favorite time of the year. I cant wait for this holiday season! it will definatly be a good one!

We are in the final week of October here.... And halloween is just around the corner...
Updates on my costume.
Im no longer going to be Alice, I am going to be a fairy instead, i bought these awesome wings and i have a super flowy dress i usually wear to weddings to go perfectly!!! Cant wait!
And as for my little buddy kurt... I bought him a darth vader costume from JoAnnes(awesome price!)..... And i bought him a breathing box that sounds like Mr. Vader himself.... hes pretty pumped on that!
I will take pictures of the costumes and post them after halloween...
For tonight however, the group is going to a haunted hayride... not for sure where, but i am to go to the lassilas for 8, and go with the wind from there!!!

Man... before you know it, we will be in full spring for christmas time. I already have songs buzzing around in my head.
Today my aunt carol and grandma came over, and we had lunch and made cards and visited. Then we took a nice long walk down the dirt road by our house.. with some good company.
A lot has been going on the past month, and a lot more coming up! With christmas around the corner, i have started making up my list.. i already have two gifts down! And im in working mode on another gift!

Welcome Fall!

Where in the world did september go? Theres only 3 days left in the month before Fall!!! thats just nuts!!!! Im not complaining though, this is my favorite time of the year! I absolutly love fall! And Everything about it... the colors, the smells, the cool air! I have already finished knitting a scarf, and im halfway trough another one that im making for Chandra, and i just started one up for Anna. My goal is to be a knitting queen by the end of winter... Ugh, winter.... i dont even want to think about snow on the roads yet. I can handle them on the ground, but driving in crazy weather like that is just terrifying!!!
I did however, just get home from a trip to the U.P. last night. It was so nice to see the boys again! We got a lot accomplished in our 3 days.... Chandra and i rolled in on wednesday night around 1130.. and we saw the boys for about an hour. Even though we wanted to visit longer, they still had school in the morning. So we hiked up to hills across the street to Chans aunt and uncles house... how lucky were we that we were so close to the boys? And let me tell you, we stayed in heaven while we were up there. Dawn and David have a beautifully finished basement... we had our own living room, bedroom, bathroom and sauna.... oh and a hot tub! It was like we were in our own little cottage! And in the morning when we woke up and got our coffee... we had this amazing veiw of the canal. I am so bummed that i didnt take pictures of it! next time though ;)
When we woke up thursday morning i drove myself out to the family camp to visit with my grandma for the day, and she made lasagna for dinner when the rest of the gang joined me later. Oh and did i mentioned we did a sauna swim??? Superior was cold, but not as frigid as i thought it would have been this time of year.
On Friday we all went to the Mine Shaft for some bowling, and went to Jims Pizza in Hancock for dinner.... then that night me brian and paul went out to kyds. It was so nice to see some old friends and catch up!
On Saturday we spent the day relaxing and watched Michigan kick some butt! Erik made us all dinner that night, sweet barbequed Pork Ribs... it was soo good!!!
And then Sunday came faster then i blinked, and we were on our way home... we did however stop in mackinaw to meet with some of the Kempeinens and ate lunch and did a little sight seeing....
It was a wonderful, beautiful, relaxing weekend.... we are planning on going on another trip in october!! :) i cant wait!!!

I know i know... its only the first week through august.... but i cant help but get excited! as much as i love summer, im ready to get back to school. After this break im totally pumped to get back in swing. School starts in just a few weeks. And the boys will be leaving shortly after that. The whole family is up north right now except for me brian and erik... so its been nice just having some quality time with my older brothers before they have to leave for another nine months. But im defiantly planning on visiting them this year. I havent been too good at all about going and seeing them.... not once actually. But Chandra and I are planning some weekend trips. I was able to cram my school schedule all into two days, which im very thankful for! So i will be able to take a long weekend trip with no fuss! I am pretty excited to go up north in the fall.... ive never seen the fall leaves up there, only pictures... and you know what they say, pictures wont do it justice.
The Ludington trip was such a good trip! Ive never gone on vacation anywhere but hermits cove. I will have to post the picture of all 11 of us who went when i get it. If your unaware, my cousin Kristine is expecting, so it was nice to see her and her little baby bump!
Not much else though....

Welcome Summer!

And it sure has been summer season, that is for sure! I'm pretty sure that this is the first officially day of summer! :) Kelli and Dan were in town last weekend. So we had fun with them! And for the past couple of weeks there were many grad party's to attend to! I'm pretty sure that my grad season is over for this year. Until next year that is!
I do have a lot to look forward to this summer though! Like the Poyhonen/Kempeinen kids camping trip to ludington!! I am super pumped for that! All of us older kids are going. There will be 12 of us going. I missed the trip the other year and heard that it was super fun. So i am very happy that i am able to make it this year! We are leaving almost in two weeks here, Thursday the 8th through Sunday the 11th. I plan on relaxing all weekend and spending some quality time with my cousins and my brothers! :)
Fourth of July is coming up as well! Like every year my family will be joining the kempeinens and watch fireworks at hudson mills! We have kept to this tradition ever since i can remember. They are phenomenal... they are on Saturday the 3rd, so if you have never been before you should defiantly go and check them out this year!
And then lastly, we are going to our cabin the first week in august! This is by far the vacation that i am looking forward to the most, and the vacation that i will always look forward to going on. Theres nothing better then spending a week at Hermits Cove with not a care in the world. Just clear your head and relax on the beach, or go berry picking if thats your taste. I try to not leave the camp, but i do enjoy heading into town once while im up there. And if were up to it, we take a day and go even further up to Copper Harbor. Thats where you have to buy the fudge! We also go to Fort Wilkens, an old Civil War Campsite. -very cool!
I have a lot to look forward to. Im trying to make the best of my summer, especially being on such a tight budget! I have a feeling though that this will be one of my favorite summers to come. :) Have a lovely rest of your month.

Do you ever go into JoAnne's and suddenly feel really crafty? Well Jenna and i had that experience last night. when we got home she made a couple of head bands and embelleshed a shirt of her own. And this morning when i got home from work, i embelleshed a tank top of my. Im pleased with the results. It was my first time ever doing something like this. if anyone knows of any other way to easily embellish, please let me know! :)

So last night we all decided to go to the hoedown... and let me tell you it was a blast! The entire trip was just crazyness! And seeing Justin Moore for free was pretty phenomenal! Although it was extremely crowded though! We left around 9, and we probably spent a good 15 minutes trying to get out of there! it was literally shoulder to shoulder trying to push your way out! It was a good experience though!

Its been awhile since ive blogged.... obviously the 365 project was a failure for me. Do you know how hard it is to remember to take a picture everyday??? Let me tell you, very hard on my part at least. Not too much has been going on though, ive been working a lot. Thats about the extent of my life. Dave got a job down in colombus, so he moved down there yesterday with the guys. It was sad to say goodbye to him. I dont think its really hit any of us yet.
Summers almost here though! Im so ready for it!!! :) Bring on the late nights, bonfires, fishing, and boating, with a side of lemonade! :)

Monday: 2/22- First day of watching Ava this week, isnt she just a doll!? :) Sunday 2/21: Jenna Bought new curtains for our balcany doorway the other day, and pulled them back with this gold ribbon! :)

Saturday 2/20: Some Scrapbooking that jenna did. I thought it was neat how she was making a "key to my heart" page, with keys all over it, as shes wearing the Key necklace that dave bought her.

The weekend is officially over. Not much happened this weekend. On Friday my mom and i spent a good part of the day together, and us girls went to coffee instead of hockey, I finished painting the kitchen on saturday, and sunday went to church, then worked, and watched the US vs Canada Olympic Hockey(GO USA!!! :))! So ya, it was a pretty chill kind of weekend. For the next couple of days i am watching Ava(steve and tammys baby). :) So it should be a fun weekend.

So i decided that it was an absolute must for me to have a coca cola last night. I was definatly craving one!!!! So i went down to the vending machine by our pathetic excuse for a gym, and came back up and took a quick picture of it.

As for todays picture, i took a picture of my favorite tea in my favorite mug. My Aunt Carol Gave me the mug(two of them) For Christmas, along with my favorite tea. Now the reason why she knows what my favorite is, is because she got me hooked on it. Its Mandarine Oarange green tea, and it is absolutly divine!

So Jess and i had a little adventure this evening. We went and played in the snow!!! :) We went to the park and played on the swings, tee ter toter, and Jungle gym. We also made lots of little designs in the snow! It was a blast! i cant remeber the last time i played in the snow!!!

Its only 2 months late, but the snow is making up for lost times. Were supposed to be getting 6-10 inches by tomorrow morning! EWWW!!!! I had to work this morning at 7, and it started falling by 8. Luckily they sent us home early after shipment was done. So by 930 we left, the roads were already bad! Highway was moving 55, and all in town was slick. Im thankful that i have nowhere to go for the rest of today, or tomorrow!!!! Drive safe everyone!

Taking a picture a day is beginning to become kind of difficult for me. Its hard to think of what it is that i want to capture and what it means to me.

On sunday however we went over to the lassila house, and watched the superbowl. Just a bunch of us sitting around the livingroom laughing at the commercials and enjoying some burgers. They also have a Fireplace in their livingroom, and there isnt a day that its not on in the winter.

As for todays picture, that was very hard for me. I just took a random shot of something in my room. They are silk orchids that i have up on my wall. Orchids are one of my favorites. Im not much of a interior designer, however this definatly adds something to my wall.

today was a pretty awesome day! first i worked... then after work i paid a visit to my parents!!! It was good to see my mom and dad and some of the kids tonight. Mom and i watched the Bachelor, as usual, and had a scrumptious Chicken Fajita Dinner. So Tonight the boys and i went to a whalers game... Justin got some tickets for us for free! :) It was a lot of fun! They ended up winning 4-2. It was definatly a good game. There was 3 fights! well Christmas has come and gone, and we've finally gotten a decent amount of snow to have some fun in. Sunday after church we went over to my parents house for some fun! We went ice skating down at the pond and skated around for a good hour. It was a blast! a couple of the girls hadnt been skating in years! so it was fun to get them back out there again. and the boys brought their hockey sticks and we passed the puck back and forth and had some tournaments. it was so much fun! :)

Last night was such an amazing night!!! We had a girls night, and exchanged our gifts. We decided that we were going to exchange a board game for the apartment! we dont have many games and the ones that we do have, were all so sick of. We also did stocking stuffers, which was pretty fun too! And later we went to the guys hockey game, and justin came in town, and he played as well. So it was a pretty good night.

A Day In Ann Arbor

This past saturday, jessica, jenna, and i went to ann arbor for the day. Our first stop was lunch at Zingermans(soooo good!!!) I enjoyed a chicken salad sandwich and we all split a white chocolate raspberry peice of cake!! :)
After Lunch we went into this huge house that was turned into an antique store. i bought a candle holder, that says joy with little reindeer in between each letter.

After that we walked all around the state street area, we went into soo many little vintage clothing stores, and found some really neat stuff. which is where all of the pictures come from.

Ann Arbor is such a short drive from the apartment, about ten minutes! I Absolutly looove it!!!

What an awesome, work free, school free weekend!
It was so nice to just relax all weekend! its too bad that it has to come to an end. But i did have fun. Friday night Kurtie came over and spent the night. He and i rented a movie and played games. Than Saturday after he went home Jessica and i carved pumpkins!!! We had a blast! And than today jessica and i went to spicers and i bought some apples and dougnuts. and i made an amazing apple crumble pie!!!! :) Have a wonderful week!

Ahhhh!!!! where did september go??? its already October? are you sure? oh my goodness! its crazy how fast this past month has flown by! Im officially moved into my new place and loving it! I love going being out on my own! :D Is a good feeling knowing that i can support myself and be a full time student you know? My second weekend here i had anna over and thats where those pics are from. we took them by the park in our complex. And than I also had my cousin kristine out here one day.... and she brought lots of goodies for me! we got a new bigger tv.... a awesome casserole dish set with cute metal racks to place them in when serving... some picture frames... a tv counsel...some nice big glass cutting boards.... and other small nic nacs! its been pretty nice! ive been working like crazy, this past week i worked six days! and they had me schedualed for six days again this week, but i told them its hard for me to work that much plus go to school 4 days a week. so they completly understood and now i only work 5 days this week. Its been fun though! i love living with the girls! well i should booky it to bed. i work in the morning. have a blessed sunday!

So ive been super duper busy latly! School officially started last week for me. Im going to washtenaw. i should be say, wahooo i love it!!! but not too too much! its a change of pace and its totally different than what im used to. i go to school four days a week, and 3 of those 4 days i have a three hour break. So i get a little lonley all by myself. But on a positive note... im moving out in one week! im moving in with jenny jenna and jessica next friday. theyre all there already, but im going in one week from today! im super excited, but i really need to start packing. i keep procrastinating!
Other than that... absolutly nothing has bee happening. Same ol stuff here. just a new place! :) Im so pumped for this week to be over, but at the same time im not! Ill talk to you all soon!

hey all!!! its been a loooong time! i havnt been up to much over here. same as usual, work work work. I should be in bed right now since i have to work early in the morning. but im to anxious/ excited because i might be possibly coming up north this weekend! ahhh. im soo anxious! the only reason why im not sure is cuz i have to work on thursday and if i can get someone to cover my shift than i will be going to see Grandma!!!!! i havent seen/talked to her in a couple of months. and miss her dearly. and i just need a relaxing long weekend. im hoping my prayers will be answered and i can go. i need to relax on the beach along my favorite body of water ever! We had such a good weekend! i had all weekend off too so it was so nice!!! I worked friday but i got off at 10 am... so after that i went over to jess's place. Than we went to Kellis and went for a 3 mile walk and after that we had a barbeque... than we went to jennys and went to dairy queen... and than when the guys got off of school we had our first bonfire of the year! And on saturday we had another bonfire at jen and daves and we also watched slumdog millionare... which was an awsome movie!!! Than Today i after church i went to my cousin's fiances house to help them make invites for her bridal shower! it flew by... but was such a good weekend. Were all trying to make the best of our time together before Jenna leaves and Some of us get married!

So i have been working soo much since february!!! I usually work about 30 hours a week. And i'm going to be working even more than that because i got a promotion at work!!! i'm what is called a Merchandising Specialist... which means i have to take care of everything that goes on in the mens department. i start my training as soon as my backround check comes in to make sure i'm not a serial killer. lol. but i'm pretty excited! i'm also going to be an assistant manager a couple days a week, by opening the store and even closing the store! i'm so nervous about it, and excited at the same time. It will be a good experience!!!

Gosh! i didnt realize how long its been since i have been on here. I have been working a lot, and when im not working, i'm usually with everyone else. I have been working so much now! which makes me so happy because i need to save money. Sorry its been soo long! But as you can see, i am finally done with school! Friday was my last day. I am so happy that i dont have to wake up tomorrow morning at five thirty! My weekend was really relaxed. After school friday i just knitted my scarf, and read. Than i worked on saturday and went out with the gang. And today i went into church, than my mom and dad took me out with anna, to celebrate. We went to Johnny Corinos in Town. This week i only work one day, Tomorrow, than i have through next wednesday off. My party is on saturday, and than next sunday through tuesday, i'm going out to my cousin kristines house! I am so excited for that, i always love going out there. We usually plan a few nights together when her husband goes out of town for buisness.

Now that i am done with school, i need to make money for college. I am just going to community college next fall, and i am going to take the program there to be an X-Ray Tech.

Long Time No Talk

Hey. Its been awhile. I've been busy with school work this week. I just finished a Psychology project last night, and presented it today. That always takes up a lot of my time. But the A is worth the work. Than i have had so much homework to do in government. I am actually in my lunch right now... i'm such a nerd, i always go to the library on my lunch. But my last day of school is coming up in ten days. only 8 more school days left!
We got so much snow on friday night through saturday. It really was nasty outside. Me and jenny went to Tahnee and Johns Wedding on saturday. What would normally take us a half hour took us an hour. We started off on the highway going 55 than the number slowly decreased to 35. We thought that the roads would have gotten better on the way home, but nooo. it was even worse going home. We were going 30 if we were lucky on the highway, but most of the time we were going about 25. That took us One hour and twenty minutes. Tahnees wedding was beautiful though. And i didn't want to miss her wedding, her bachlorette party was pretty nice too. My cousin Ryan and his wife Lynette came down from the U.P. Which was nice. I cant remember the last time that i saw them.

Nearing the End of Grade School!

I had a blast this weekend! Janae and Keith are now engaged and so is Kelli and her fiance Dan! Thats my fourth wedding that i'm going to this year, one on sat., than Janae and Keith's in May, Than Kelli and Dans in June, than my cousin David and Katies in August. Good thing that i absolutly love weddings! Its so crazy how much my life is changing now. I just wish that we could all go back to being little kids with no worries. But enough about that...
So i only have two more full school weeks, than one full day, and three half days following that! Thats thirteen more days only! I am so excited. Being that this week will be the last week of really working. Because next week will be preparing for my exams. Which i'm not worried about! Than my Grad Party is at the end of the month. I'm excited for my party because i will see old friends and some relatives that i havnt seen in a while.

I hope that everyones 2008 year was safe, and your prepared for 2009! Its crazy that yet another year is just begining. I went to Jennys house last night. There was a bunch of us there. We had a blast playing bowling on their video games all night. Than we watched the ball drop at midnight, enjoyed some sparkling juice, and wailed some noise makers! Than we ended up watching a movie, and before you know it, it was four A.M.! I planned on staying the night, because i had to work at 9:30 this morning. So five A.M. rolls around and we hit the sack. Needless to say i received three hours of sleep last night. I'm surprisingly not all that tired today. But anywho... I'm ready for the weekened. I never know what i will end up doing, but i always have a blast! I also have all weekend off, so i'm very happy about that. More later, Peace!

The Pain of Knitting

So today Anna and I went up to town. For the past couple weeks when i get together with the girls, Jenna, knits her throw that she's been working on. And i have been wanting to learn how to knit, so i decided that theres no better time than the present. So i bought knitting needles and yarn(Charcoal Grey), and called my grandma up and went to her house. She started the first couple of rows for me, and i have been working on it non stop ever since. The picture above is my work from the past four hours. I didn't realize though, how much pain that the tips of my pointer fingers would be from it, and my hands have been cramping. Its just those parts of my body that i'm not used to using. Hopefully i will finish up my scarf before we start school again, because i know once school starts, i wont have time to pick it up again. I'm sure i will though. Once i finish it up, i will post my final results.

I hope that everyone had a wonderful christmas! We had a very nice christmas. I wanted to start off by congratulating my cousin keith and his wife katie... they are expecting their second!!! I also wanted to congratulate my other cousin. No names yet. I'll let them announce. :) Although I'm sure most of you know who...
My christmas gifts consisted of two this year. Usually we do three gifts from santa for each kid. Its always been this way in our house. My mom likes the idea of giving three gifts like the gifts each of the three wise men brought. This year i got a gift card, and a cross necklace. The necklace is white gold, and has real diamonds in it! I was really really excited, because i have never gotten any diamonds before!
Now that christmas is over, its time to look forward to new years! I'm going over to Jennys house for a new years party, and have no idea what to bring!! Any suggestions???

What a blast! Last night was my friends christmas party. It was so nice to see everyone again. We had a lot of fun catching up. We played some pretty intense twister though. ha ha. i am so sore today from that! We played a lot of games, switched secret santa gifts, and had a lot to eat. above are a few of our most intense games between my friends David Emily and Jack. It was so hard to break them. we stopped spinning the board, and just called out complicated moves. lol.

So today we had nooo school!!!!! I'm not exactly sure how much we have gotten yet, but its still falling.
Tonight i'm going to a christmas party with all of my friends. I'm excited cuz they are all home from college now. Altough one cant make it tonight, i'll still get to see her sometime over break. I've been going nuts, because i made soo many treats for the party. I made those hershey kisses on top of a pretzel, and i made frosting dipped in pretzel rods, rolled in crushed candy canes. But of course having hungry kids in the house, they felt the need to take with out asking. I threw a slipper at mark. ha ha. it did nothing but encourage him to take more. So i put them in my moms room and locked the door.
I work soo much next week. I also have to work on christmas eve, 11-7. I'm soo bummed about that. i can still make it to my uncles, but i'll be fashonably late. I hope we get out early though. We will probably leave right as we close(which is 6).
